I read the Wall Street Journal article about Disney buying Marvel. One detail I find disturbing is that Marvel Chief Executive Ike Perlmutter, who negotiated the deal for Marvel, gets $600 million of Disney stock for himself as part of the deal. That's a lot of money for one guy who is not Stan Lee. When I buy a Spider-Man toy, I hate to think that so much of my money is going to one Marvel suit, rather than a writer or artist.
